How does it work?
The first step of getting a training plan together is to discuss your situation and goals with us so that we can identify steps towards achieving these and come up with the best approach for you and your horse. You can use any of the above methods to get in touch and get started with this. This initial assessment is offered for free and they are necessary to make sure the plan we provide is tailored to you.
Every training plan is unique – it is a guide designed just for you and will apply to your specific situation and take into account all the unique qualities of your horse, you and your setup that you have shared with us.
The cost of a training plan is £60. When we are ready to prepare your training plan, we will ask you to pay for it via PayPal (or your preferred method). We will then need a couple of days to put your plan together and send it to you.
The training plan will be emailed to you in .pdf format but if you would prefer a different way of receiving your training plan, please let us know and we can probably arrange it.
Once you have your training plan, you can follow it in your own time. However, if you have any questions or feel you need further support, we can provide follow-up distance consultations at a reduced rate, including 30 minutes of free consultation time.
What is in a Training Plan?
Training plans are unique, bespoke guides intended to walk you through working towards your personal goals. Each plan is tailored to you and your horse, taking into account details you provide during your free assessment. No two plans are the same, just as no two horse-human partnerships are the same.
A training plan can be used when you have a specific goal in mind and want a guide towards achieving it that you can follow independently. The free initial assessment is geared towards figuring out exactly what you want out of the plan and what you have available to you to work towards this end. For instance, we will take into account your experience and confidence levels, as well as what facilities you have available to you. We know that not everyone has a beautiful indoor school or heaps of confidence – and that’s ok!
The plan itself is intended to be simple to follow so that you can work through it in your own time, free of any pressure. We will identify what we believe to be the best approach for you and break things down. Plans include a summary of any key points that were brought up during the initial assessment that need to be taken into consideration, as well as an overview of what you should be able to achieve by following the plan. This helps to keep you focused and remember what you are trying to do so you can stay positive and appreciate small improvements. Where appropriate, links will be provided to useful articles or other resources that you may wish to refer to. Finally, training plans include a section on how to keep the desired results once they are achieved – a crucial part of the process that is often overlooked and will save you a lot of trouble down the line.
A free 30-minute follow-up consultation is offered with all training plans. We can go through any questions you might have about the training plan and clarify any details you are unsure about. Further follow-up consultations can also be arranged at a reduced rate if required.
Training plans cost £60.
